Calling all parents, guardians, teachers, youth leaders…The WISE Campaign are excited to announce their 2019 Problem Solving Challenge is now open! They are asking 10-15 year olds to imagine they are in charge of making Earth’s first contact with aliens! The challenge is to tell them, in no more than 500 words, how they would tackle this problem! Who would they ask to help? How would they get the various STEM fields involved?
This challenge is designed to spark the imaginations of young people, and show how exciting and varied STEM can be! Hopefully the prizes will be enough to get them started! First prize includes a trip to the London Science Museum (including train travel, lunch and entry to two paid exhibits) and other STEM prizes are up for grabs too!
The competition is open to all within the specified age range and there are more details including all the Ts and Cs and instructions for entering on their website. Deadline is 30th June.
